The Mayor's Initiative to Reduce Congestion 2018

The Mayor's 6-month pilot inititiative to reduce congestion was launched in March 2018.
For Murray Hill, the primary impact will be additional traffic police to enforce "don't block the box" rules and "Clear Lanes" rules on 36th and 37th Street, where a continuous curbside moving lane will be created during weekday peak hours (7AM –7PM). Turning lanes will also be created.
