P&D Committee Submits 29 Buildings for Landmark Designation

In 2016, The Murray Hill Neighborhood Association submitted 29 Buildings for landmark designation to the New York City Landmarks Preservation Commission. Details of each of the 29 buildings are described in the list below.
Madison Avenue, East side from 36th to 38th Street
- 213 Madison Avenue (aka 22-26 East 36th Street), apartment building, Louis E. Jallade, 1926-27.
- 237 Madison Avenue, fifteen-story neo-Romanesque apartment hotel converted to Morgans Boutique Hotel in 1984, Thomas, 1925-26.
- 241-245 Madison Avenue (aka 22 East 38th St.), Fraternity Club Building, now NH New York Jolly Madison Towers (multi-dwelling), Murgatroyd & Ogden, 1922-23.
East 37th Street, North side between Madison and Park Avenue
- 19 East 37th Street, neo-Georgian town house, C.P.H. Gilbert, 1905.
- 21 East 37th Street, brownstone row house, 1862.
- 23 East 37th Street, brownstone row house, 1862.
- 25 East 37th Street, brownstone row house, 1860.
- 27 East 37th Street, brownstone row house, 1863.
- 29 East 37th Street, row house, 1861, with limestone façade installed in 1906.

- 46 Park Avenue, town house, Permanent Mission of El Salvador to the United Nations, Francis G. Stewart, 1910.
- 59-65 Park Avenue (aka 102 East 38th Street), Church of Our Saviour, Paul C. Reilly, 1955.

- 283 Lexington Avenue, Soldiers', Sailors', Marines', Coastguard and Airmen's Club, 1881.
East 38th Street, North side between Lexington and Third Avenue
- 127-129 East 38th Street (aka 315-323 Lexington Avenue), eclectic office building by Delano & Aldrich, 1931, for the American National Red Cross, now Permanent Mission of Cuba to the United Nations.
