Temporary street lane closures on 34th Street and surrounding Park Avenue blocks starting May 3, 2019 for 8 weeks

Starting Friday, May3, 2019, the NYC DOT Division of Bridges will reconstruct the median at Park Avenue and 34thStreet.
Two stages will take place to complete this work:
Stage One will take place from Friday, May3rd to Monday, May6th. The work will start at 9pm Friday and will continue overnight for 57hours.
Stage Two will take place from Monday, May 6th until approximately June 22nd, Monday through Friday from 7am to 3pm and on the weekends from 8am to 9pm.
Temporary lane closures will be required on Park Avenue Northbound and Southbound, and on 34th Street.
A walkway will be installed at 34th Street and Park Avenue.
Traffic Control Agents will be assigned at various intersections to facilitate the flow of vehicular traffic.
Eastbound 34thStreet between Madison and Park Avenues
Friday, May 3rd at 9pm - Monday May 6th at 6am (continuous)
- Bus Lane Closed. Buses will shift to the mainline traffic lane.
- One travel lane will be maintained.
Park Avenue Northbound between E. 33rd and E. 34th streets
Friday, May 3rd at 9pm – Monday, May 6th at 6am (continuous)
- Left Lane Closed
- One lane of traffic will be maintained
Park Avenue Southbound between E. 33rd and E. 35th streets
May 3rd at 9pm for approximately 8 weeks (continuous)
- Left Lane Closed
- Right Lane Parking Removed
- No Standing Anytime
- Two lanes of traffic will be maintained
