The City is setting up a recruitment site for TLC-licensed driversDeliveryTLC, to help with important work related to COVID-19, such as delivering food to older adults who can’t leave their homes. This work will be paid $15/hour plus reimbursement for gas and tolls. Drivers will be selected on a first-come, first-serve basis. The City of New York’s Home Support Unit (HSU) is working with landlords, real estate brokers and property managers to lease vacant apartments to qualified New Yorkers receiving rental assistance. Property owners or managers: The NYC School Construction Authority is actively looking for additional space to house education and childcare programs starting September. The portal connects New Yorkers who need help to resources on employment, benefits, seniors, food security, NYCHA residents, mental health, and education--and to also give those who want to GIVE help a way to do so.

Technology SWAT Teams to Support New York COVID-19 Response
New York State is launching technology driven products with leading global tech companies to accelerate and amplify our response to COVID-19. They are looking for impactful solutions and skilled tech employees to help. Individuals from leading global technology companies are being deployed across high-impact and urgent coronavirus response activities. They have a particular need for professionals with experience in product management, software development / engineering, hardware deployment & end-user support, data science, operations management, design, or other similar areas. Met Council provides food assistance to over 180,000 of the City's most vulnerable. They need volunteers (especially drivers with vehicles or those who can assist as runners on home delivery) as well as funds to pay for transportation and food. Donate space to be a cooling center. NYC Emergency Management is looking to expand its inventory of cooling centers for vulnerable New Yorkers to visit during heat emergencies with proper social distancing.
