Third Avenue Improvement Committee

The Third Avenue Improvement Committee, funded by New York State legislative grants and other funding sources, has been responsible for the improvement and beautification of Third Avenue between 34th and 39th Streets. It has opened 12 new tree beds where none were before and planted 12 new trees along 3rd Avenue, contributed to the installation and maintainance of tree guards and dog defenders for many of the tree beds, funded the annual pruning of trees and mulch or plantings in the tree beds, and acquired and installed 24 handsome new Urban Renaissance trash receptacles, which have been placed throughout Murray Hill.

To continue this effort, we seek new sources of funding and volunteers.
